Located in Sandoval County and also Bernalillo County, Rio Rancho NM is a very interesting place. Its nickname is The City of Vision. You might also be interested in knowing that its part of the metro area of Albuquerque. Rio Rancho has almost reached metropolitan status itself, and it is home to the following four top places of interest and then some.

J&R Vintage Auto Museum is one place to stop by, and it’s located off of Highway 528. This auto museum is said to be quite a hidden gem. There are not only vintage trucks and cars but also other artifacts that will catch your attention. People call this museum a treasure, and it’s going to be like you found treasure for sure when you see these beautiful vintage automobiles.

In Rio Rancho, you have to check out the outdoors. There are places in the city that feature beautiful scenery for sure. One of them is Willow Creek Trail. You can take your dog to this park, and you can go hiking, biking and more. People say that the trails provide lots of shade, and that’s good for those hot months. Reviews say that you can also take a walk right up to the river, the Rio Grande River.

The Village of Corrales is a must visit, and it’s off of Corrales Road. A Harvest Festival is held there each year, and there are many unique shops to visit as well. You will also find wonderful restaurants in that area, and you’re going to witness views of the Sandia Mountains. Among the shops are antique stores, and you will also find wineries there, too.

Now it’s back out into nature, where you’re going to find La Luz Trail. This walking trail off of Osuna Road makes for a great hike. Yet people do mention in the reviews that it is for more experienced hikers. So instead of stopping there to round out the list, I’m going to give you one more tip for places to visit in case the experienced hike isn’t for you.

The pace is Red Horse Riding Company. There, you get to see the horses and go for a ride. There are so many different types of things to do in Rio Rancho. It really intrigues me because each attraction is unique. That makes for a great time in Rio Rancho NM for sure, don’t you think?
